Moorefield GAA are delighted to collaborate with The Curragh by launching the inaugural Moorefield GAA Family Race Day on Saturday August 22, part of the Curragh’s August Summer Series.
The eight-race card will include the first running of The Friends of Moorefield GAA Handicap and The Moloney’s Bar & Music Venue Maiden, in addition the programme will feature the Group 2 Alpha Centauri Debutante Stakes and the Group 2 Coolmore Stud City of Troy Tom Cooper Irish EBF Futurity Stakes.
The Moorefield GAA Raceday is an opportunity for past and present members, family and friends to gather and commemorate the many Club achievements over the years and to celebrate the significant redevelopment of the Club and the future of Moorefield GAA.
There will be a dedicated ‘Moorefield Lounge’ where everyone can relax and enjoy an action-packed day of racing, entertainment and lots of family fun, with live music after racing, kindly sponsored by McDonnell’s Bar Newbridge.
Exhibition games involving the Mini and Mighty Moores will take place on the racetrack between races, while there will be lots of free kids entertainment in the Moyglare Kids Zone.
The first race kicks off at 1.05pm, with a complimentary return shuttle bus service from Newbridge provided by the Curragh and sponsored by Manguard Plus, check out curragh.ie for more information.
Tickets are €20 to include racecourse admission, racecard and exclusive access to the Moorefield Lounge within the main grandstand. Kids under 18 accompanied by an adult go free!
